BOISE -- On October 27 the Idaho Lottery is conducting its first ever “Scratch for Schools” fundraising event in Boise at the Boise Towne Square Mall. This event will benefit local schools in Boise and Meridian where 20 schools will be given a chance to win money for their school.
Each participating school will provide a team of 2 that will be given an equal number of promotional scratch tickets. For five minutes each team will scratch as many tickets as they can. All prizes that the team uncovers will be given to the school that the team represents. The team that uncovers the largest total dollar amount will win an additional 1,000 scratch tickets for their school (2nd and 3rd place will receive 500 and 250 tickets, respectively). A drawing to see which 20 schools participating will be conducted.
The Idaho Lottery is looking forward to this event as a way to increase their contributions to the Idaho public schools. And with a successful event behind them, they look forward to taking it statewide in the months to follow! Watch for additional details.
