POWERPLAY WINNER CLAIMS $300,000 POWERBALL PRIZE!

BOISE – Ray Barthlome is the lucky man who won $300,000 playing Idaho Powerball with the Idaho Lottery. Barthlome tripled his $100,000 prize for just one extra dollar. The one-dollar Powerplay option multiplies Powerball prizes by up to FIVE times, and it’s available for every draw.

Barthlome bought the winning ticket at Wright Bros. Travel Center in Idaho Falls for the drawing on Saturday, March 8, 2003. He matched all five winning numbers except the red Powerball number in the draw.

The winning numbers for Saturday, March 8, 2003 were: 1, 5, 20, 21, 45. The Powerball was 24 and the PowerPlay multiplier was 3x.

Barthlome plays Powerball frequently and periodically adds the Powerplay option – he was glad he did this time! He says he plans to buy a house with the winnings.

The Powerball jackpot is currently estimated at $12 million. The next draw is Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at 8:59 p.m. MST.

Powerball is the multi-state lotto game that offers players nine ways to win. Players select five numbers from 1 to 53 and a Powerball from 1 to 42. The jackpot is won by matching 5 numbers plus the Powerball. Odds of winning a cash prize are 1 in 36. Jackpot odds are 1 in 120 million. Powerball is now played in 23 states, Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held each week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:59pm MST.

Remember to play responsibly. The Idaho Lottery benefiting Idaho public schools and buildings.
