Powerball jackpot $200 million, Lottery encourages players to play responsibly

 

Boise – There are 200 million reasons why players will be picking up Powerball tickets this weekend.  Although Idaho had 14,274 winners in Wednesday night’s $177.2 million Powerball draw, no one won the jackpot.  For the first time since mid-March, the Powerball jackpot for this Saturday night’s draw is $200 million.  With the increased interest in the large jackpot, Idaho Lottery officials are encouraging players to play responsibly when buying their Powerball tickets.

 

“There is always a lot of enthusiasm when the Powerball jackpot reaches this level,” explained Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. “We are encouraging players to share in the excitement and dream of winning big, but to play responsibly. Spend what you can afford, don’t go overboard.”

 

Players who want to purchase a Powerball ticket for this Saturday night’s draw have until 7:55 PM Mountain Time on Saturday evening and can do so at more than 880 retail locations across Idaho.
