BOISE – On Saturday, September 9, a couple from Blanchard, Idaho beat the 1 in 1.3 million jackpot odds by winning $135,000 in the Wild Card 2 lotto game from the Idaho Lottery.
The Wild Card ticket was purchased at the Super One Foods in Coeur d’ Alene.
This is the fourth time the jackpot was won in Idaho and the third time this year. “We are excited to see so many Idaho winners,” Idaho Lottery Director Bob Ginkel said. “It is always nice to see large jackpots remain in the state.”
The Blanchard couple generally plays the Idaho Lottery on a weekly basis and likes the Wild Card 2 lotto game because the overall odds of winning a prize are 1 out of 6.
Wild Card 2 players can win by correctly selecting 5 numbers out of 31. Then pick one face card and one suit for your Wild Card to Win.
Wild Card 2 is played in Idaho, Montana and South Dakota. The drawings are held each Wednesday and Saturday at 8:59 p.m. mountain time.
Dividends from the Idaho Lottery are returned to the state and are used to support Idaho public schools and buildings. In over ten years, the Idaho Lottery contributed in excess of $196 million dollars to Idaho public schools and buildings.
