Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle is 92% Sold Out
Boise – This weekend may be the last chance for Idaho Lottery players to purchase a chance at winning $1,000,000! With only four days left until the draw, the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle is over 92% sold, meaning there are less than 20,000 of the $10 tickets still available.
“Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle tickets will be on sale until 11:59 PM Mountain Time on Monday, December 29, 2008 or until the last ticket is sold, which ever occurs first,” said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director.
During the Raffle’s first run in 2007, the last 10% of the tickets sold in less than 48 hours. With a busy post-holiday shopping weekend, many Lottery retailers across Idaho are preparing for an increase of players in their stores.
“As fewer and fewer tickets remain, the speed at which players are purchasing them is definitely increasing,” added Anderson. “There may not be any left by the end of the weekend.”
As excitement for the game increases, Anderson also encouraged players to play responsibly. He also recommended that players sign the back of their ticket once it has been purchased and to keep it in a safe place until the Lottery announces the winning numbers on December 30, 2008.
Last weekend, the Lottery sold over 16,000 Raffle tickets and nearly 19,000 Raffle tickets in the two days right before Christmas. The Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle represents the best odds of one million dollars in Idaho. Only 250,000 of the tickets were available for purchase when the game began on November 7. In addition to the $1,000,000 prize, the Lottery will also draw for four $15,000 prizes, five-hundred $300 prizes, and one-hundred-fifty $100 prizes.
The winning numbers for the top prize of $1,000,000 and the four $15,000 prizes will be announced at 9:59 PM Mountain Time on December 30, 2008. Lottery offices will be closed until 8:00 AM Mountain Time on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Players will be able to check their winning numbers after the announcement via the Idaho Lottery’s website at idaholottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotline at 208-334-4656.
