IDAHO LOTTERY PLAYER SCORES $100,000 POWERBALL PRIZE!

BOISE – Barbara Sinclair has a bunch of good friends. Last week, when the Powerball jackpot soared, a friend stopped by Barbara’s house on her way to a nearby Jacksons and asked if Barbara wanted her to pick up a Lottery ticket.

“Sure,” Barbara said, since she only buys tickets when the jackpot is high.

The day after the drawing, another friend on the way to the same Jacksons stopped by Barbara’s house and took Barbara’s ticket to the store to get it checked. “I told her to let me know if I won anything,” Barbara said.

Next thing she knew, both her friend and the manager of the Jacksons were at her house congratulating her with the news that she won $100,000!

The ticket was bought at Jacksons in Payette.

The Powerball jackpot is currently at $128 million, and the next drawing is Wednesday September 29, 2004.

Powerball is the multi-state lotto game that offers players nine ways to win. Players select five numbers from 1 to 53 and a Powerball from 1 to 42. The jackpot is won by matching 5 numbers plus the Powerball. Odds of winning a cash prize are 1 in 36. Jackpot odds are 1 in 120 million. Drawings are held each week on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8:59 p.m. MST.
