MOM CELEBRATES WEEKEND HOLIDAY WITH $100,000 IDAHO POWERBALL PRIZE!
BOISE – It was a Mother’s Day not soon to be forgotten. Diane Schnider celebrated on Sunday with her husband, her daughter and a $100,000 winning Powerball ticket. Schnider matched all five winning numbers except the red Powerball number in the drawing Saturday, May 8, 2004!
Schnider, who plays Powerball regularly, picked up $10 in Powerball tickets on her way home from work in Potlatch. Schnider skipped work on Sunday night because she was too excited about winning and drove right down to Boise to cash in the ticket first thing Monday morning. The Schniders say it was perfect timing, and with the winnings they are going to buy a new dresser for their week-old grandson and fix their boat.
The winning ticket was purchased at Southway Shell in Lewiston.
The winning numbers for the drawing on Saturday, May 8, 2004, were 3 9 17 37 43; Powerball: 39; PowerPlay: 4x. The Powerball jackpot is currently at $10 million for the next draw on Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at 8:59 p.m. MST.
