Boise – Susan Cowperthwaite, of Rathdrum, Idaho, drove away this morning in a brand new 2000 Jeep Wrangler after winning the Jeep on the Idaho Roadtrip scratch game from the Idaho Lottery.

Cowperthwaite, who purchased her ticket from the IGA grocery store in Rathdrum where she works, was playing the game periodically trying to win a jeep.

Coperthwaite, an employee of the IGA in Rathdrum, works in Customer Service and validates the Idaho Lottery tickets on a daily basis. While on break Saturday morning, she scratched the first symbol on the ticket - it was a winner! Jumping for joy, she shouted, “I won, I won, I won the Jeep!” Cowperthwaite told the Idaho Lottery, "I knew this was going to be a winning ticket, I had the feeling.”

kily for the Susan Cowperthwaite, the ticket was a winner, because she and her husband Dan were shopping for a new car. Not knowing what they could afford, the Jeep Wrangler seemed to fit Susan Cowperthwaite just perfect.

Waving her hand out of the Jeep’s window, Executive Director Bob Ginkel said, "this jeep fits her like a glove, and just think there are still 5 jeeps left!"

Dividends from the Idaho Lottery are returned to the state and are used to support Idaho’s public schools and buildings. In FY1999, the Idaho Lottery contributed $20.6 million dollars to Idaho public schools and buildings.
