This Classroom Wishlist will provide basic classroom supplies such as a stapler, paper, and binders as well as an area rug to help create space and supplies for “Fun Thursday”! Teacher Becky Munroe says, “I had the opportunity to move from teaching two half day kindergarten classes to a full day kindergarten schedule. With more time in our day now, I can teach every subject and reward students with "Fun Thursday" for making positive choices and completing work throughout the week."

This Wishlist will purchase 5 table sets with 6 chairs each for teacher Lesly Marks Classroom. She says “In our district, we are working towards raising our PSAT scores in both and math and English. Each year we have been going up little by little. This year I have made it a goal of mine to have all our math scores at or above the state of Idaho. To do that, I want students to be able to work together, talk through their errors, and use deductive reasoning to have a deeper and more conceptual understanding of what we are doing in our class. I love to create a fun and collaborative math environment for my students.

The STEM activities will provide my students with opportunities to work together, use their imagination, and create.”

Teacher Laura Forsgren says, this award will. “Enhance the classroom environment, both academically and physically! Students are working hard all day, and I would love to provide them a more comfortable and active environment to learn. The wobble cushions and swivel chairs will help with that! Having bike pedals underneath a desk will keep students active while learning."

Many of my students come from farming families and have strong connections to livestock. Using this background knowledge, I would like to connect their interests with our science standards and incubate poultry in our classroom."
