Wish Delivered: Classroom Set-up
Teacher Andrea Hemmert says “These items will help me because I am a first year teaching. The teacher that was before me left a lot of old (and I mean from the 80's old) things that are not relevant to my students now. I would love to have all these items, especially the easel and the paper organizer the most because I need something to put my big books on, and the paper organizer will give my students a place to put their finished work in."

This will enable students to work through the design and engineering process to see how real engineers in aerospace handle and solve problems. Students in the geology classes will be able to print models of different geologic formations in order to make better comparisons between formations that are too far to be visited in person or are in locations that can't be visited. Students conducting physics experiments can use the printers to design different tools that will enable them to reduce human error in experiments.”

Wish Delivered: 2- MiniPCR® mini16 thermal cyclers for Hidee Beddes
Teacher Hidee Beddes says “We have been trying to incorporate more genetic engineering in our curriculum currently we only have one of these for 81 students. It makes it really hard to do labs with one and I usually end up taking it home and running them all night to get all the student samples completed for the next day. If we had 2 more machines we would be able to complete the labs within a class period and students would be able to use the technology and see the results they are getting.”

Wish Delivered: Headphones
Teacher Janet Rosen says “Our state assessments are conducted on computer. Further, some of our math and language arts practice activities are also online. Some students are able to bring headphones from home, some are not. It is up to me to have extras on hands for kids that need them because they have to use them for the testing and activities, but they are not provided. These headphones would allow me to always have enough available for my students.”

Wish Delivered: Class set of books
This wishlist will purchase 30 copies of the title “Wonder” for a 5th grade class that uses them as a textbook. Teacher Suzanne Nalewajko says “Our fifth grade uses this text as a class read aloud. If each student has their own text, we could add lessons that would help enhance the text and deepen that understanding of the characters. I tried to get a grant from my school district, but they denied the request saying they did not have enough funds.”
