Christine Harster slipped into the Nom Nom convenience store just around the corner from where she lives, located at N 15th Street and Best Avenue in Coeur d’Alene, in late May to buy a couple of Idaho Lottery Scratch tickets. Like many players, Christine’s purchase was made because she felt a personal connection to the game.

“I bought the 7s Galore scratch ticket because 7 is my lucky number,” she said.

Lucky number, indeed! Christine’s lucky ticket was a $77,000 winning top prize!

“I took the ticket home and was scratching it. It looked like a winner, but I wasn’t sure I’d really won,” she told Lottery officials when she claimed her winning ticket at the Lottery office in Boise. “I took it back to the store and had them scan it. When they said I had to contact the Lottery, I knew I was the big winner!”

With the newness of winning, Christine shared she was not certain what she would do with her winnings but said she and her family would at least get dinner before making the drive back to Coeur d’Alene.
