What started as a typical Saturday for Antonio Norato, Jerome, when he visited the Winco on Blue Lakes in Twin Falls turned into a $50,000 windfall after he bought and won the top winning ticket on the Idaho Lottery’s Scratch Game In the Money.

“I was at the store and thought maybe I’d try my luck with a $5 scratch ticket,” said Antonio of his decision to play the game. “I bought it Saturday but left it on the dash in my truck overnight. I remembered Sunday I had it and then played it. I hoped maybe I’d win $20.”

Antonio won the last top prize in the game.

“That’s a little more than $20!” said Antonio with a wide smile looking at the check for $50,000 at the Lottery’s office in Boise the next morning.

Antonio plans to put his winnings toward his house.
