Modest and understated, Jessica Glassinger was at Fred Meyer on Blue Lakes in Twin Falls before Thanksgiving and bought an Idaho Lottery O’ Christmas Spree Scratch ticket. Her holiday luck was about to change.

“The ticket said ‘SPREE’ on it. I had no idea what that meant. The store told me to call the Lottery to find out,” explained Jessica on her experience. “That’s when I found out I’d won the shopping spree!”

Jessica had just become the second, O’ Christmas Spree winner on the popular holiday game and would receive her chance to win at least $1,000 and up to $5,000.

Two weeks later, Jessica was back at the same Fred Meyer on Blue Lakes for the LIVE O’ Christmas Spree shopping event in front of a nice display of poinsettia plants.

“I wasn’t nervous or excited until I got here,” said Jessica as the game began.

The winner plays a “Deal or No Deal” style of game where she selected one of five boxes, each with a different prize amount hidden underneath, as her ‘TO ME’ box. Jessica selected box #3, which ultimately won her $3,000.

Jessica bought groceries, fuel, and some clothes with her new winnings. After she won and before leaving Fred Meyer, she purchased bags of dog food and cat food to donate to the Twin Falls area Humane Society during the holidays.

The Idaho Lottery has partnered with Kroger-owned Fred Meyer stores to offer this once in a lifetime shopping spree experience. Jessica’s win was the second. There are three Shopping Spree prizes and both top prizes of $50,000 remaining in the game.
