Luck Blossoms in Idaho

Luck, like spring, has blossomed across Idaho. While luck has found our players, it has also found many retail locations. Over the past two months we’ve paid winners from every corner of Idaho, including some significantly huge prizes. We want to take a moment to highlight a few of these winning retailers, some of whom will be familiar and some will be newcomers to the Lottery’s lucky retailer list.

Starting off the ‘shout-outs’ is the luckiest store in America. Jacksons #10 on Orchard by the I-84 freeway in Boise is the only retail location in the United States to ever sell two, jackpot winning Powerball tickets. Just this week, the store sold the first top prize of $300,000 on the Scratch Game Midas Touch to Sarah Ray of Ontario, Oregon.

Joining the list of lucky retail locations, and making this claim during the height of the Stay-Home/Stay-Healthy orders is the Winco in Eagle. This store sold the largest winning ticket ever on the game Idaho Cash, $381,000 to a regular player and shopper. About seven weeks later, the same store sold the last top prize of $200,000 on the Scratch Game Idaho 2020 to another regular player.

Eastern Idaho has seen its share of big winners including a $97,771 winner on Idaho Jackpot sold at the Albertsons in Ammon and a $200,000 winner on Powerball sold to a local player at Bucks, KJs on Sunnyside in Idaho Falls; both this week. In southeast Idaho, there was a $31,333 winner on Big Money jackpot sold at the Fast Stop in Franklin back in April to Lung Hnem of Logan, Utah.

Big winning tickets have turned up at retailers in the Magic Valley as well. Keith Henslock of Kimberly won $248,892 on Ultimate Diamond Jackpot from the Maverik in Kimberly. In Twin Falls, a local man won $250,000 on the Scratch Game $250,000 Extreme Cash Cashword from a ticket purchased at the Oasis on Blue Lakes in Twin Falls. And back at the end of March, a Bliss woman won the first top prize of $200,000 on Idaho 2020.

And in northern Idaho north, the luck continues. Coeur d’Alene resident Dennis Williamson won $200,000 on Pharaoh’s Fortune from a ticket he bought at the A&D Mini Mart in Coeur d’Alene. And Timothy DeMaine from Spokane bought a winning $50,000 Syringa Slingo ticket from DJ’s EZ Mart in Old Town.

Perhaps the luckiest stores of all, though, are the winner of the Favorite Retailer contest that ran alongside the Name That Scratch Game contest. See if one of your favorite stores is on this list:

SUPER 1 FOODS in Rathdrum
MAVERIK on Thain in Lewiston
FRED MEYER on Fairview in Meridian
SMITH’S FOOD & DRUG on Addison in Twin Falls
KJ’S SUPER STORE in Malad City
MAVERIK on Woodruff in Idaho Falls

Congratulations to all our winners! Here is to the luck continuing as spring transitions into summer!
