Well Dressed Winner! Paris Man Wins $100,000 on Tuxedo Cashword

When you offer a well-dressed Scratch Game like Tuxedo Cashword, it should seem almost fitting that it's winner should be from Paris. Okay, maybe not the European City of Lights, capital of France, Paris, but Paris just the same.

Dale Clark has been a long time player of the Idaho Lottery and longtime resident in Paris, Idaho a small town of about 500 people along the shores of Bear Lake, in the southeastern part of the Gem State.

Last Saturday, Clark picked up and played a few Tuxedo Cashword Scratch tickets from the Minnetonka Market & Caf├® in St. Charles. The first ticket he tried was not a winner.

"I said 'Phooey!' when it didn't win," Clark said as he talked about winning. "Then I started playing the next one. Wow! Look at all those words I had. I turned it over and signed it, then went back to playing it to see how much I'd won."

After checking it about 30 times, Clark visited his daughter Cindy to have her look at it and see if he was right.

"He came over and said he had to talk to me about something big. I thought it was really serious," explained Cindy. "Then he wanted to show me his Lottery tickets and I said, 'Dad, this isn't the time to show me your Lottery tickets.'"

It turned out to be exactly the right time. Cindy looked and confirmed his ticket was worth the last top prize on the game of $100,000.

Clark's win officially ends the Scratch Game Tuxedo Cashword. The game was 99.29% sold through. For their part in selling the winning ticket, Minnetonka Market & Caf├® in St. Charles receives a bonus of $10,000 from the Idaho Lottery.

When asked about his plans for the winnings, Clark said he would pay down some bills and thought maybe about taking a trip. We think, perhaps, he should look into visiting the more well-known Paris. Just a thought.
