BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô This weekend may be the last chance for Idaho Lottery players to purchase a chance at winning a guaranteed $500,000! With only five days left until the draw, the $500,000 Spring Raffle is 85% sold, meaning there are less than 45,000 of the $5 tickets still available.
"Like our other raffles when the game is close to selling out, the pace at which players participate is increasing and we are seeing that occur with the $500,000 Spring Raffle as well," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "There are only a few days left for players to get their tickets. Once they┬┤re gone, they┬┤re gone."
Tickets for the $500,000 Spring Raffle will remain available until 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 or until the last ticket is sold, whichever comes first. The winning numbers will be announced at 5 p.m. Mountain Time on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
The Idaho Lottery is also continuing to offer their Spring Raffle special. Players who purchase four of the $5 Spring Raffle tickets will receive a $5 Powerball ticket free. This offer will continue until the end of sales for the $500,000 Spring Raffle.
Last weekend, the Lottery sold over 23,000 Spring Raffle tickets and sold over 15% of the Spring Raffle tickets in the past week. The $500,000 Spring Raffle represents the best odds of winning a half million dollars in Idaho. Only 300,000 of the $5 tickets were available for purchase when the game began on May 1. In addition to the $500,000 prize, the Lottery will also draw two-hundred and fifty $500 winners, fifteen hundred $50 winners, and three thousand, two hundred and forty nine $25 winners.
