FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BOISE, Idaho – Dennis Bell, from Filer, almost gave away his chance to win the top prize on The Big Spin from the Idaho Lottery. A regular Lottery player, Bell won a digital spin and took it to Maverik on Blue Lakes in Twin Falls to see what he had won. When the clerk scanned, he got a big surprise when he learned he could win up to $125,000.
“They told me I had to go all the way to Boise to get my winnings. That’s a long ways away,” described Bell. “The gal next to me said she’d take the ticket and go. Not sure she’d given me any of the winnings, so I decided maybe I should go all the way up to Boise. I’d like $125,000.”
Bell joined the Idaho Lottery and about 50 onlookers at Boise Towne Square where he spun the big wheel and claimed $90,000 in winnings. Bell is the largest winner in the history of the game.
Bell recently celebrated his birthday and felt this win was just a continuation of the party.
“I’d like to buy a tractor with my winnings for the farm, but they say the wait is about two years. Maybe I’ll get a pick-up truck instead, that wait is only about 6 months,” he said about what he might do with his winnings.
Bell’s win was the first top prize-winning ticket in the third edition of the popular game, The Big Spin. The game originally debuted last summer in July 2022. There are five top prize tickets remaining in this edition, each with the opportunity to visit Boise Towne Square and spin the big wheel for a chance to win up to $125,000.
