BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô One ticket sold in Oneida County, along the Idaho ÔÇô Utah border, for Saturday night's draw became the Idaho Lottery's first Weekly Grand jackpot winner. Weekly Grand is the newest Idaho-only draw game and Saturday night's winning ticket matched all five numbers correctly. The lucky numbers were 7, 11, 16, 26, and 28. The holder of the ticket will be able to claim the game's first jackpot prize of $1,000 a week for an entire year.

"We're excited to have our first Weekly Grand jackpot winner," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "The feedback we've received from this game has been overwhelmingly positive. The idea of winning $1,000 a week really resonates with our players."

Weekly Grand was introduced on August 18, 2011 with draws only on Wednesday and Saturday nights. Players attempt to match 5 correct numbers from 1 to 32. Players that match just two correct numbers win a free ticket. Players that match all five numbers win the game's jackpot, $1,000 each week for an entire year, taxes paid. All non-winning tickets are eligible for entry through idaholottery.com or tele-entry (208-334-4656) for a monthly second chance prize of $100 a week for an entire year.

"We are encouraging everyone who played Weekly Grand for last Saturday night's draw to check their tickets carefully," added Anderson. "We are also recommending all players sign the back of their tickets prior to presenting them for payment. These tickets are bearer instruments and we want to ensure our winners protect their prize."

Like all of the Idaho Lottery's draw games, the winner of the first Weekly Grand jackpot has 180 days from Saturday's draw to claim their prize.
