BOISE, Idaho – It’s been ten years to the month since Sandy Pickrel, Caldwell, first won the Idaho Lottery. But for Pickrel, it was worth the wait as she struck it lucky a second time! Before a gathering of friends, family, and curious onlookers at Boise Towne Square, Sandy spun the Idaho Lottery’s Big Spin wheel and claimed $70,000.

Sandy’s win began earlier in October when she decided to play the Big Spin while visiting her local Maverik store in Caldwell. “I hadn’t played Big Spin in a while, so I thought I’d give it a try again,” she explained. “This is really unbelievable.”

Today’s win marks Sandy's second big victory with the Idaho Lottery, making her one of the luckier players in the state. Her previous win was $100,000 on the game Idaho Bingo in October 2014.

Sandy does not have too many plans for her winnings yet, other than treating her family to some memorable experiences.

This is the third Big Spin prize in the fourth edition of the popular game from the Idaho Lottery. There are three top prizes in this edition remaining.
