Idaho's Luck Continues! $1 Million Powerball Winner Sold in Oneida County; Ada County Sells Weekly Grand Jackpot Winner

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô Idaho's luck with big Powerball prizes continued last night with their fourth, seven-figure winner in the past nine weeks. One winning ticket for last night┬┤s $60 million Powerball draw was sold at an Idaho Lottery retail location in Oneida County, along the Idaho - Utah border. The Idaho Lottery has confirmed a single ticket matched all five of the first numbers, but not the Powerball number and is worth $1 million. The winning numbers from last night┬┤s draw were 01, 06, 07, 20, 49, and the Powerball number was 23.

In addition to the $1 million Powerball winner, one Idaho Lottery retail location in Ada County sold a Weekly Grand Jackpot winning ticket. Weekly Grand, which just celebrated its first anniversary as a draw game in Idaho, has jackpots that pay $1,000 each week for a year after taxes are paid by the Idaho Lottery. The winning numbers for the Weekly Grand jackpot on Saturday night were 04, 05, 10, 22, 32. The winning ticket matched all five numbers. This is the eighth jackpot-winning ticket sold for Weekly Grand since the game began on August 18, 2011.

ÔÇï"Idaho continues to be a lucky place for all of our games. We are encouraging everyone who played Powerball and Weekly Grand for last night┬┤s draw to check their tickets carefully for winners," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "Last night, in addition to the $1 million winner, we also had over 5,000 winning tickets that won other prizes just on Powerball. We've seen instances where players did not match the Powerball numbers and think they do not have a winning ticket. In this case, the ticket matched all five of the first numbers, and is worth $1 million."

ÔÇïIdaho's lucky streak on Powerball began with a $1 million winning Powerball ticket sold for the June 20, 2102 draw in Meridian. It remains unclaimed. Brian Reed of Sandpoint claimed a $1 million Powerball prize in July and just two weeks ago, a $2 million Powerball ticket was claimed by Mike and Mary Rodrigue of South Jordan, Utah who split their ticket with Dennis and Jennifer Baldwin of Salmon.

Last night┬┤s winners have 180 days to claim their prize from Idaho Lottery headquarters in Boise.ÔÇï

ÔÇïThe new estimated Powerball jackpot for Wednesday night┬┤s draw is now $70 million.
