ÔÇïBOISE, Idaho ÔÇô The next couple of days could be the last chance for Idaho Lottery players to purchase a chance at winning $1,000,000 before New Year's! The Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle is 90% sold, meaning there are about 25,000 of the $10 tickets still available.

"There are a few Raffle tickets left, so if you're interested in having the best chance ever at winning $1,000,000 from the Idaho Lottery, today is the day you need to get a ticket to get in the game," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director.

A $106 million Powerball jackpot, coupled with busy last-minute holiday shoppers looking for fun, easy to buy and entertaining presents and stocking stuffers, means many Lottery retailers across Idaho are preparing for an increase of players in their stores.

"As fewer and fewer Raffle tickets remain, the speed at which players are purchasing them is definitely increasing," added Anderson. "There may not be any left in the next day or two."

Sales for the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle have increased 32.5% over the same period compared to sales of just one week ago.

As excitement for the game increases, Anderson also encouraged players to play responsibly. He also recommended that players sign the back of their ticket once it has been purchased and to keep it in a safe place until the Lottery announces the winning numbers on December 30, 2009.

The Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle represents the best odds of winning one million dollars in Idaho. Only 250,000 of the tickets were available for purchase when the game began on October 31 - Halloween day. In addition to the $1,000,000 prize, the Idaho Lottery will also draw four $10,000 prizes, sixty $1,000 prizes, one thousand $100 prizes and two thousand $50 prizes.

The winning numbers for the top prize of $1,000,000 and the four $10,000 prizes will be announced at 9:59 p.m. Mountain Time on December 30, 2009. Players will be able to check their winning numbers after the announcement via the Idaho Lottery's website at idaholottery.com or by calling the winning numbers hotline at 208-334-4656.
