BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô Typically considered an unlucky day, Friday the 13th is turning out to be very lucky for one Nampa man. Kaleb Hoover claimed $250,000 on the Idaho Lottery's Scratch GameTM Fortune Frenzy. The ticket was purchased from the Jacksons at Pierce Park and State Street in Boise.
"I know luck has a big part to do with it," admitted Hoover, who plays the Lottery regularly with his father who lives in the northwest Boise area. "Thirteen has always been a lucky number for me."
Hoover works for a bank in the Treasure Valley and plans to wisely invest 85% of his winnings. The remainder of his winnings will go to support his wife, family, and new home.
For their part in selling the winning ticket, Jacksons receives a bonus from the Idaho Lottery of $20,000.
