ÔÇïBOISE, Idaho ÔÇô It's official - the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle from the Idaho Lottery is a sell-out. Wednesday evening ticket number 250,000 was sold. This is the third year for the holiday edition of the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle and for the third consecutive year the game has sold out before the draw. The $10 tickets went on sale October 31, 2009 and sold out in less than 54 full days. No additional tickets will be issued.
"From the onset, the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle has been met with statewide enthusiasm from our players and retailers," explained Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "This game has the best odds of winning a million dollars as well as the game's other top prizes."
In addition to the $1,000,000 prize, there are four $10,000 prizes, sixty $1,000 prizes, one thousand $100 prizes and two thousand $50 prizes.
Someone is now currently holding a raffle ticket that will be worth $1,000,000 on December 30, 2009 when the Idaho Lottery announces the winning numbers. "We are encouraging everyone who bought a raffle ticket to sign it and keep it in a safe place until the announcement of the winners," said Anderson. "Good luck to everyone who bought a ticket."
During the height of sales on Wednesday, Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle tickets were selling at a rate of 1,600 an hour. The game was 95.4% sold out at the start of Wednesday and sold the final 11,488 tickets in about 19 hours.
The draw announcement for the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle will be held at 9:59 p.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2009.
