BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô The Idaho Lottery confirmed that last night's $564.1 million Powerball jackpot produced five winning tickets that just missed the jackpot by a single number. Five tickets matched four of the first five numbers, and the Powerball. Four of those tickets are worth $10,000 and one also had the PowerPlay option and is worth $30,000. Last night's winning Powerball numbers were 11, 13, 25, 39, 54 and the Powerball was 19.
Two of the $10,000 winning tickets were sold in Ada County, one was sold in Canyon County, and the final one is from Custer County. The $30,000 winning ticket was sold in Bonner County in Idaho's panhandle. All totaled, there were 26,877 winning tickets in Idaho last night worth a total of $235,348.
"Congratulations to all our Powerball winners!" said Jeff Anderson, Director of the Idaho Lottery. "If you haven┬┤t done so already, sign the back of your tickets and keep them in a safe place. All players have 180 days from last night's draw to claim their winnings."
Nicholas Wright from Kuna claimed one of last night's $10,000 winning tickets first thing on Thursday morning. His winning ticket, sold at the Stinker Fuel Center by the Albertsons in Eagle, only missed the number 13.
"The number 13 is no longer one of my favorites," joked Wright when he collected his winnings. "I was one number away from retiring,"
Shelly Henderson from Caldwell claimed a winning ticket worth $10,000 that was from last Saturday night's Powerball draw moments after Wright did. She also echoed his sentiments on missing just one number.
"When my husband called to tell me that we'd won, I told him we were just one number away from retiring!" said Henderson, who's ticket from Saturday was the only 'near miss' ticket that evening. Her winning ticket was from the Maverik at Ustick and 10th Avenue in Caldwell.
Both Wright and Henderson plan to save their winnings.
