BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô "I was screaming so much that I lost my voice!" described Patrick Shadduck, Post Falls, on his reaction to winning $50,000 on Powerball last Saturday night. "I still don't believe it. I'm really in shock."
Shadduck's winning ticket matched four of five numbers and the Powerball to win $10,000. Being a regular player of Powerball, Shadduck's ticket also had the PowerPlay option which, for $1 more per play, multiplied his non-jackpot winnings by five, turning his $10,000 prize into a big $50,000 winner.
"We just missed the jackpot by one number. We had 16 and the fifth number was 6," added Shadduck, who works as a concrete pourer. "This is really incredible."
The winning ticket was sold at Super 1 Foods in Post Falls. For their part in selling the winning ticket, Super 1 Foods receives a bonus of $5,000 from the Idaho Lottery.
Shadduck said his immediate plan for the windfall was to invest the money into savings.
