ÔÇïBOISE, Idaho ÔÇô Two months and 250,000 tickets later, the Idaho Lottery tonight announced the winning numbers for their 2009 holiday edition of the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle.

And the $1,000,000 winning number from tonight's draw is:

"We are strongly encouraging all our players to sign the back of their raffle ticket prior to presenting it for payment," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director after the winning numbers announcement. "These tickets are bearer instruments and we want to ensure each player protects their play."

The $1,000,000 top prize, along with the four $10,000 prizes and the sixty $1,000 prizes must be claimed at Lottery Offices in Boise. The one thousand $100 prizes and the two thousand $50 prizes may be claimed at any Idaho Lottery retail location.

"This game has been uniquely successful for Idaho, for our retailers, for our players and most importantly, our beneficiaries," added Anderson. "In addition to offering more prizes than both our first two raffle games combined, the real winners this year are Idaho's public schools and the permanent building fund."

The 2009 Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle also generated more dividend funds that either of the first two Raffle games with an estimated $750,000 being returned to Idaho's public schools and the permanent building fund. This year's Raffle sold out in just 54 days and offered a total of 3,065 prizes worth a total of $1.3 million. The first Raffle in 2007 offered 805 prizes and last year's Raffle offered 2,155 prizes.

Winners have 180 days to claim their winnings. Players wishing to claim their prizes at Idaho Lottery Headquarters in Boise should note that Idaho Lottery offices will be open during regular business hours on Thursday, December 31, 2009 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time. The Lottery will be closed on January 1, 2010 for New Year's Day and will re-open again on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8 a.m.
