Sales for the Idaho Lottery's Winner Take All Raffle began this morning at 4 a.m. Mountain Time and will remain on sale until 9:00 p.m. Mountain Time on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Unlike previous Raffles from the Idaho Lottery, there is no limit to the number of tickets in the game and there is no pre-determined final jackpot amount. In addition, Winner Take All Raffle will have only one winning ticket.

"This is a new game from the Idaho Lottery to offer its players," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "Winner Take All Raffle is an Idaho-only, 50-50 style raffle, meaning the Lottery splits the total sales in half with the sole winner."

Tickets for this raffle are $20 each or three tickets for $50 and are available at all Idaho Lottery retail locations. Tickets are issued sequentially starting with the number 000001. The more tickets that are sold, the more the jackpot will continue to grow. The jackpot is 100% dependent on the total number of tickets sold during the 55 day run of the game.

"Our players will determine the limit for the Winner Take All Raffle jackpot," described Anderson, who noted that all four of the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle games have each sold 250,000 tickets. "If we sell 10,000 tickets, the jackpot prize would be $100,000. But if we sell 100,000 tickets, the jackpot prize would be $1,000,000 to an Idaho Lottery player."

Proceeds from the Winner Take All Raffle will be directly added to the Idaho Lottery's annual dividend. The final amount contributed to the dividend will be dependent on the total number of tickets sold.

"As with all of our raffle games, there's bound to be some excitement for the game from our players," added Anderson. "As always, we encourage all of our players to remember to please play responsibly.

Winner Take All Raffle is not for sale in any other state. Players can only buy these tickets from Idaho Lottery retailers in Idaho. Players do not have to be Idaho residents to participate or win.

Who's the winner going to be? The sole winning number will be announced at 5 p.m. Mountain Time on Thursday, June 9, 2011. The winner will have 180 days to claim their prize.
