School: Popplewell Elementary
Wish Delivered: Desk and Chairs
Teacher Tenecia Cooper says "Thirty new desks and chairs would have an immediate and lasting impact on my first-grade classroom. The furniture currently in my room has been in use for decades and many pieces are worn, mismatched, and no longer provide an ideal learning environment. Replacing them would create a safe, organized, and welcoming space where students can focus on learning instead of being distracted by unstable or damaged furniture."

School: West Minico Middle School
Wish Delivered: Classroom supplies and Books
Teacher Amanda Hernandez says "The resources I am requesting will directly benefit students in my eighth-grade English Language Arts classroom. I have requested 30 individual whiteboards to increase student participation through word work, vocabulary practice, and quick formative assessments that provide immediate feedback. I have also requested two storage cabinets for our classroom novel sets. Our classrooms have very limited storage, and I often have to keep books at my home when they are not in use. Proper storage will help protect these materials and keep them accessible for students."

Wish Delivered: Transitional Kindergarten Program Materials
Teacher Kathleen Legg says "We are excited to launch our new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program in Fall 2026, providing an essential early learning opportunity for children who meet the age requirement but would benefit from an additional year to develop the academic, social-emotional, and foundational skills needed for kindergarten success. This program serves as the first year of a two-year kindergarten experience, helping ensure that every child enters kindergarten confident, capable, and ready to learn. "

School: Independence Elementary
Wish Delivered: Classroom supplies
Teacher Kimberly Cole says "Getting to help to start Independence Elementary this year is an exciting opportunity, but it also comes with many unexpected expenses. As a teacher, I am committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment for my students, yet many classroom supplies and materials often come out of my own pocket... This opportunity would not only benefit me but also the students I serve. A well-equipped classroom helps create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable, engaged, and ready to learn. Every dollar would go toward helping make the school year successful for both my students and me. "
