Teacher Kim Unrein says "The Extended Resource Room (ERR) at the Two Rivers K-8 school is in hopes of setting up, for the first time ever in our school district’s history, a “sensory room.” As a special education teacher and past paraprofessional, I have worked for the school district for 38 years and it has been a dream of mine to help students with autism and high anxiety to experience the calming affects of a sensory room. Teacher Nichole Jones says "These new tablets will be dedicated exclusively to educational learning games. For kindergarten students, the highly motivational nature of tablet-based games turns the repetition needed for mastery into a fun, rewarding challenge. As students interact with these games, the devices provide instant feedback, allowing children to immediately recognize and correct their mistakes while practicing letter sounds and names. This rapid, self-correcting cycle of trial and error accelerates learning in a way that traditional flashcards and worksheets simply cannot achieve on their own. "

School: Shoshone Elementary
Wish Delivered: Classroom Supplies
Teacher Glenda Knight says "The upcoming school year presents me with a unique challenge. For the first time in my lengthy teaching career, I will not have a teaching partner. Students who would normally be assigned to two separate classrooms will be combined into one third-grade classroom. Unfortunately, the physical space of the environment doesn't increase. Therefore, I am planning to utilize a variety of seating options to maximize space and provide useable sitting and writing spaces for my students."

School: Black Canyon School
Wish Delivered: Music Room Supplies
Teacher Cheryl Lower says "Every Thursday, I lead the entire student body in our school song, a tradition that builds school spirit and unity. Currently, that experience is hindered by equipment that lacks the power and clarity to reach every child.Furthermore, during our annual talent shows and plays, our current microphones fail to capture the light, high-pitched voices of elementary students. Without high-sensitivity equipment, our young performers' hard work is often lost to the audience, which can be discouraging for a child finding their voice on stage."
