Wish Delivered: Art supplies

Teacher Elizabeth Hennefer says "Visual art is learned by doing. My middle school students need opportunities to draw, paint, build, design, experiment, make mistakes, solve problems, and turn their ideas into something tangible. The challenge is providing enough materials and shared equipment to make those experiences possible for multiple classes of students throughout the school year. This Wishlist would provide both the reusable classroom infrastructure and consumable art materials needed to support hands-on instruction in grades 6–8. A rolling demonstration table, document camera, and adjustable light would create a dedicated demonstration station where students can clearly see close-up techniques such as drawing, painting, measuring, cutting, construction, and assembly. Cutting mats, geometry tools, paint containers, and brushes would give students shared equipment they can continue using across projects and future school years."

Wish Delivered: Classroom chairs

Teacher Angie McAffee says "As a teacher, the library is not my classroom, but it is a space I see our students use every day. It should be a place where they feel comfortable gathering, studying, working together, and taking pride in their school. Right now, our library furniture makes that difficult. Many of our chairs are old and beginning to break. We have even had students injured when chairs have broken while they were sitting in them. Beyond the safety concern, we simply do not have enough chairs when larger groups of students need to use the library. Students should not have to search for a safe chair or bring one in from another room just to have a place to sit. "

School: Black Canyon Elementary

Wish Delivered: Classroom Supplies

Teacher Carrie Wilkerson says "One of the kids favorite times of the day is when I read a novel to them. They love reading new books and for some kids, the novels I read to them are the only books they will read outside of class. It is a great way to get them interested in reading and have meaningful conversations. Also we learn about the states of the United States in 5th grade. Study cards and puzzles are a great way to help them study with hands on learning."

School: Longfellow Elementary

Wish Delivered: Sensory Items

Teacher Erin Watkins says "I am the new Special Education Development teacher at Longfellow Elementary in Idaho Falls, and I am building a K–6 SPED classroom completely from scratch. My students have diverse sensory, behavioral, communication, and academic needs, and the items in this wishlist provide the foundational tools required to support them effectively. The literacy and academic tools—such as the Scanmarker Max reading pen, alphabet object sets, sight‑word cards, magnetic letters, base‑ten blocks, and the Montessori sand tray—give students hands‑on, multisensory ways to access reading and math. These supports are essential for students who struggle with decoding, comprehension, number sense, and written expression."
